This map shows the number of reported vehicle/deer crashes in
the Lake States for 1991, 1993, and 1996. The data are from the Minnesota Department of
Public Safety, Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, and Michigan Department of
Natural Resources. Reported deer-vehicle incidents include all reported
vehicle-deer crashes where the was human injury or death, or damage exceeding a certain
dollar amount. Property damage threshold values vary between the states and over
time in the Lake States. |
